Oil-spill clean-up operations continued in the Gulf of Paria yesterday after pockets of oil found on beaches near Mosquito Creek and beaches in La Brea, Vessigny, Clifton Hill/Guapo and Cedros last week.
State oil company Petrotrin said it continues to monitor and respond to the oil sightings.
The company said it is working alongside the Ministry of Energy, Environmental Management Authority (EMA) and the Office of Disaster Preparedness Management (ODPM).
Petrotrin stated response teams were mobilised and continued investigations to identify the source of the oil.
A release stated as part of the ongoing exercises, Petrotrin officials conducted another helicopter fly-over of the shoreline yesterday.
